Where to find all of the Rune Brokers in Season of Discovery

As part of the preparation leading up to Season of Discovery Phase 7, the WoW Classic team rolled out a hotfix this week that adds Rune Brokers to Season of Discovery. Rune Brokers are shadowy new vendors that sell all of your classes rune abilities and specializations for one copper piece. There are no level restrictions for the runes so they are immediately available if you are missing any runes on your main character or decide to level up an alt.

When you interact with the Rune Broker, a warning does appear informing you that buying certain runes may cause their related discoveries in the world to bug out. The Classic team notes that this will improve over time but it’s still something to be aware of before you buy any runes you are missing.

Rune Brokers are located in each starting zone as well as each faction capital city. Here’s where you can find each one!

Starting Zone Rune Broker locations

The Rune Brokers are usually near the first quest givers and merchants you can find in each starting zone.

Horde starting zones

• Red Cloud Mesa, Mulgore (44, 76) — Stationed in front of the totem to left of the Chief Hawkwind‘s tent in Camp Narache.
• Valley of Trials, Durotar (42, 68) — Located by tree to the right of The Den.
• Deathknell, Tirisfal Glades (31, 66) — In front of the first building to the left once you enter Deathknell from Shadow Grave.

Alliance starting zones

• Northshire Valley, Elwynn Forest (48, 41) — To the left of the Northshire Abbey’s entrance.
• Shadowglen, Teldrassil (58, 43) — Behind Conservator Ilthalaine, towards the building at the base of Aldrassil.
• Coldridge Valley, Dun Morogh (29, 72) — Standing across from Sten Stoutarm.

Rune Brokers in each capital city

Horde capital cities

• Pools of Vision/Spirit Rise, Thunder Bluff (22,13)
  • Head to the Pools of Vision are on the middle section of the Spirit Rise mesa. Cross the bridge over to the mesa and take the path to the lower section and enter the cave. This Rune Broker is standing against the back wall.
• Magic Quarter, Undercity (79, 19)
  • Walk to the Magic Quarter and cross the bridge. There are guards standing in front of each large pillar, the Rune Broker will be hidden behind the one the left in front of the staircase leading up to the trainers.
• Cleft of Shadow, Orgrimmar (49, 46)
  • Go to the Darkfire Enclave building in the Cleft of Shadow, where the Warlock Trainers are found. The Rune Broker will be waiting next to building, right behind the sign.

Alliance capital cities

• Forlorn Cavern, Ironforge (53, 14)
  • Enter the Forlorn Cavern from the Hall of Explorers side and the Rune Broker will be tucked away between a building and the cavern wall
• Cut-Throat Alley/Dwarven District, Stormwind City (57, 26)
  • Walk the along the canal on the Dwarven District side. Right before you hit the bridge to go to Cathedral Square will be an unmarked building with an open door. Go through it and out the other door to enter Cut-Throat Alley, where the Rune Broker will be waiting on your left.
• Temple Gardens, Darnassus (28, 38)
  • This Rune Broker is found behind the Temple Gardens in Darnassus, next to the portal that takes you to Rut’theran Village.
