Spend ’em if you got ’em: Undercoins resetting to zero at the end of The War Within Season 1

For people who like to do Delves, there’s a lot to look forward to when patch 11.1 brings a lot of fun changes to make it even more rewarding to spend time in them. However, while we knew some things would be disappearing from Delves at the end of Season 1, one that slipped under the radar — until a dev interview with MissiledineWoW, anyway — was that Undercoins would be resetting to zero. If you’re sitting on a pile of them, there are a few things you might want to spend them on now that will be rewarding in the future, so bring your pile of Undercoins to Sir Finley Mrrgglton in Dornogal and get to spending!
There are a few things to collect, if you’re into that. Finley sells several toys, including the Abyss Caller Horn, Pileus Fragment, and Lampyridae Lure. There are also some cosmetics of very… questionable… fashion, so if you want to spend 2500 Undercoins to wear a dead fish on your head, a mint-scented candle, a mushroom cap, or a giant back spike, now’s your chance. You can also pick up schematics to change the look of your Delver’s Dirigible (like a front-mounted propeller) or even a weird shadow ghost that Finley appears to have adopted. Some of these will be changing vendors in 11.1 — the schematics, we learned from the same interview, will be moving to Reno Jackson and will be available for Resonance Crystals instead of Undercoins.
You might also be tempted to stock up on Restored Coffer Keys, if your Delver’s Journey Season 1 reputation is high enough to be able to buy them from Sir Finley. Buyer beware, however: we do not know whether or not keys will also reset with the new season, so you might end up just getting a pittance of silver for your keys.
Another option does exist which might be best of all: the humble Delver’s Pouch of Reagents. These only costs 500 Undercoins apiece, but each one contains 3 rare crafting materials — a mix of Viridian Charmcap, Profaned Tinderbox, Ringing Deeps Ingot, Gloomfathom Hide, or Vial of Kaheti Oil. Even if you’re not a crafter yourself, these items often sell for a good amount of gold on the Auction House (especially the Tinderboxes — and if you don’t get many of them, you can trade any three of the others in for Profaned Tinderboxes at the Blacksmithing Supplies NPC in Dornogal). After all, while Undercoins may come and go, gold is a timeless currency.
