Be sure to complete your C.H.E.T.T. list every week in Undermine for extra cartel faction reputation

On the second floor of the Incontinental Hotel in Undermine is the Concierge, Honored Employee, and Transaction Terminal — aka C.H.E.T.T. When you first encounter it you may think it’s just there to vend drinks and get repairs, but reaching Renown 13 with the Cartels of Undermine unlocks the C.H.E.T.T. list, a task list for Undermine that rewards valorstones for the first four tasks you complete. However, you can also turn in the completed C.H.E.T.T. list to the cartel quartermasters for extra reputation. Here’s how to unlock C.H.E.T.T. and earn additional rep with the cartels.
Once you’ve reached Renown 13 with the Cartels of Undermine — and subsequently after every weekly reset before you start working on activities — you’ll want to head up the main staircase in the Incontinental Hotel in Undermine on all of your characters. On the north side of the floor near Kari Bridgeblaster is C.H.E.T.T. Interacting with C.H.E.T.T. will give you a C.H.E.T.T. List with eight different tasks of which you need to complete four. Once you’ve fulfilled the criteria for a task you can press the Complete button and receive valorstones for doing so. After you’ve marked four tasks complete (while you can do every task on your list you can only mark four complete for the valorstone rewards) you can turn in the C.H.E.T.T. List for additional rewards.
The potential tasks are:
- Side with a Cartel — select your cartel for the week with Kaydee Racketring on the first floor. This option always appears on the list and once you’ve selected it on one character it’s completed for all of your characters (you may need to close and reopen the list to see the Complete). As a result you effectively only need to complete three tasks on your characters.
- Ship Right — complete 10 deliveries. This can be done by working on the Many Jobs, Handle It! weekly quest.
- Go Fish — catch 50 fish from Steamwheedle Runoff pools.
- Rare Rivals — kill three rares in Undermine.
- Time to Vacate — complete the Excavation Site 9 delve in the Ringing Deeps
- Desire to D.R.I.V.E. — complete two races in Undermine. The races do not need to be one of the active world quests nor of a specific difficulty — if you want to do the normal course followed by the reverse course that will count.
- Kaja Cruising — collect 50 Ka’ja Cans by driving over them. This one is typically completed just by driving around Undermine between scrap piles and quests.
- Garbage Day — loot 25 trash cans or overflowing dumpsters. These appear on your minimap as a treasure symbol when unlocked so they’re easy to find; unfortunately you get dismounted and many are by hostile mobs so it may be more trouble than it’s worth trying to do so.
- War Mode Violence — kill 5 players in War Mode.
- Side Gig — complete one of the side gig weekly quests available in Slam Central Station.
- Complete the Side Street Sluice Delve — the other new delve in patch 11.1, conveniently located near the Incontinental Hotel.
- Gotta Catch at Least a Few — capture 5 battle pets in Undermine.
- Reclaimed Scrap — gain 100 Empty Ka’ja Cola Cans while doing the Scrap event. Can be done while working on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Note that besides siding with a cartel each character will likely get a different set of tasks. It also should be noted that the list doesn’t track how much you’ve completed, so you’ll need to keep track of the number of fish you get yourself. Fortunately most of the tasks can be completed just by playing the game.
Finishing up your list: more valorstones, or cartel reputation
After you’ve completed four tasks you won’t be able to complete any more — your list is now complete. The first two lists you complete on your account have to be turned into C.H.E.T.T. and you’ll receive an additional 250 valorstones for doing so. After you’ve earned the achievement C.H.E.T.T.ing it Twice there is an additional option that’s sorta hidden: you can turn into the cartel quartermaster for reputation and gold.
The only quartermaster you can turn in the completed list to is for whichever cartel you’ve selected for the week.
- Bilgewater Cartel — Rocco Razzboom
- Blackwater Cartel — Boatswain Hardee
- Steamwheedle Cartel — Lab Assistant Laszly
- Venture Company Cartel — Shredz the Scrapper
The item you’ll exchange the C.H.E.T.T. list for is called the “Finder’s Fee” and upon purchase you’ll receive ~100 gold and 500 reputation with the cartel (standard reputation increases such as that from Darkmoon Faire apply to the reputation received). Currently this can be done repeatedly on each level 80 character on your account; it is unknown if this is a bug or intended.
Besides having your alts also complete the list for reputation or valorstones you can gain additional C.H.E.T.T. lists by turning in 40 C.H.E.T.T. cards which drop from mobs in the delves and in Undermine after you’ve turned in your weekly list. Note that the drop rate is on the low side so unless you’re deliberately farming them you’re unlikely to get enough to turn in each week. Fortunately they don’t expire and aren’t removed from your inventory after the weekly reset so hold on to them until you’ve gained enough to complete a bonus list.
The final reward you can get by completing C.H.E.T.T. lists is the C.H.E.T.T. Pack which is purchased from C.H.E.T.T. for 1000 resonance crystals after you’ve received the C.H.E.T.T.mate for becoming “Employee of the Month” or turning in 100(!) lists to C.H.E.T.T. — those that you turn into quartermasters do not count towards the achievement. It’s not currently known how to become Employee of the Month (and receive the “Part Timer” title) but turning in lists appears to be a backup mechanism if you’re not able to do so. Once the criteria is learned for becoming Employee of the Month we’ll edit this article to include the information.
Good luck maxing out your reputation with the Cartels of Undermine. While C.H.E.T.T.won’t get you to max rep alone, it can make the trip there a bit shorter.
