The Epic Games Store is offering Cat Quest 2 for free this week

Last week we got the cat-themed ARPG Cat Quest for free from the Epic store, so hopefully you liked that because there’s more where that came from, literally.

  • DLC: none, but there is one more sequel available on Steam, Cat Quest 3.

Cat Quest 2 is a very similar game to its predecessor, but this time around you can opt to play with a friend. Unfortunately, if you’d like to jump in to co-op, your friend or you must play as the vastly inferior dog, instead of the titular cat. But regardless of which four-legged furry friend you’re piloting, you’ll find a similarly wholesome story. It serves as a great introduction to the ARPG genre for a beginner — especially a younger one, who might not be ready for the themes and imagery of a Diablo 4 (to put it mildly).

Cat Quest 3 was released in August 2024, but isn’t yet available on the Epic Games Store. If you want the whole trilogy, you can go grab it on Steam (the bundle of all three games is deeply discounted there right now).
