Blizzard Watch Weekly: Pizza Night!

It is the best night of the week, with the best food for the best night of the week.

We’re gonna grab a slice while we take a look back at what happened this week, and what we have to look forward to next week, plus some stuff you may have missed.

What happened this week?

This week was kind of a Q-word one as far as Blizzard releases go. I know, I shouldn’t have said anything. I’m knocking on wood as we speak. Our weekly cute post is cats and dogs living together (without mass hysteria, believe it or no, Dr. Venkman).

Last week Season of Discovery phase 8 began, and a good time was had by all. Except the Scarlet Crusade, we guess. We have a list of new profession items you should get, some useful and some just neat, like a pop-up bush. Iconic.

And just in case you’re looking for something to do this weekend, this week’s gaming post features the next season of Last Epoch plus a bunch more new games. If you’re looking for something older, Guild Wars celebrated its 20th anniversary this week.

What’s Happening Next Week (and beyond)

Noblegarden starts next week, and concludes shortly thereafter. It’s a really brief holiday. Make sure you jump on it immediately if you want one more cute baby ducky costume color (there are six to collect).

Next week we’re also excited for World of Warcraft‘s patch 11.1.5 which releases on Tuesday. We’re getting ready to earn Renown with Flame’s Radiance, and (maybe?) earning Puzzling Cartel Chips.

We got some information this week about the next season of Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Season 10 starts April 29. Anomalies are out; trinkets are in. So are some new heroes (like Buttons!), and of course new swag on the battle pass.

If you’re looking really far ahead, you can sign up to participate in the Mists of Pandaria Classic beta, which takes place later this summer.

Also, we just want to note real quick that Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 comes out next Tuesday.

This week’s podcasts

This week’s Blizzard Watch Podcast led off with Noblegarden and the cuteness of baby ducks, plus what is the deal with Puzzling Cartel Chips? Lore Watch went rather tinfoil hat, discussing Xal’atath and the Void, and what might be next for both.

The most absolutely unhinged TTRPG we’ve played to date is without question Pigeons 11 — think a heist movie like Oceans 11, but starring birds instead of George Clooney. And what makes a good score for a bird? Bread! No, no. Not bread — pretzels. I don’t want to say more because this is truly something to be experienced rather than explained. If you’re going to listen to just one podcast this week, make it this one.

We’ve made it through another week, if you can believe it. Have a great and restful weekend, because we’ll be back here on Monday.
