When will we get to experience the Broken Isles again with Legion Remix? Here’s our best guess!

At last week’s PAX East panel, the World of Warcraft development team revealed that our next “Remix” experience will be with the Legion expansion. This isn’t a huge surprise as the 2025 roadmap heavily hinted that a return to the Broken Isles was in store for us, but we don’t have a release date for the Legion Remix. Fortunately its position on the roadmap as well as the scheduling of Mists of Pandaria Remix (aka “ReMists”) as a guide to estimate when Legion Remix will start.
ReMists started a week after patch 10.2.7 was released back in May 2024. It ran for three months, ending upon the release of The War Within in August 2024. We can thus expect Legion Remix (no catchy moniker yet) to be similar in its release and availability.
We won’t know until later this year when patch 11.2.7 will arrive but our current estimate places it in mid-November, possibly the week of the 18th or 25th. The latter date is the week of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States — but that hasn’t stopped the development team before, as other patches have arrived just in time for turkey and stuffing and pumpkin pie. That said, I don’t expect Legion Remix to launch that week: regardless of the patch schedule we believe Legion Remix will start in the first week of December.
The end of Legion Remix will likely be with the release of the next expansion in the Worldsoul Saga: Midnight. Like with patch 11.2.7 we don’t have a firm date for the new expansion but our latest prediction has it coming at the end of February or early March.
Though we don’t have a confirmed release date for Legion Remix — and probably won’t until later this year — these dates are consistent with the release pattern of ReMists and The War Within. So barring any delays we should expect a new Artifact weapon experience and more fun with fel this upcoming holiday season.
