Leveling is a breeze with the XP-boosting Winds of Mysterious Fortune buff, now live!
The Winds of Mysterious Fortune buff is back in WoW, giving you a leveling boost leading into patch 11.2. From July 15 to August 12, there’s a 20% experience boost for all characters between levels 10 and 79. Not only that, reputation for all Dragonflight factions — including the Cobalt Assembly — are increased by 200%, and reputation for all The War Within factions, including the Undermine factions and Flame’s Radiance factions, are increased by 100%. The last two were excluded the previous time this buff came around, so you can now catch up on these more recent factions.
While questing below level 80, there will be chances for Mysterious Satchels to drop from creatures or from turning in quests. They will offer items that will boost stats as well experience potion to increase the 20% experience bonus to 30%. These potions will also be Warbound so you can save them for the next alt you plan to level.
Patch 11.2 launches on August 5, with the Manaforge Omega raid opening on August 12. The Winds of Mysterious Fortune lasts right up until the raid launches, so you have plenty of time to get your characters raid ready — or catch up on older factions on your main. The event will also overlap with August’s Darkmoon Faire for even bigger experience and reputation buffs. During the Darkmoon Faire, you’ll have access to WHEE! to give you another 10%, bringing you up to 40% increased XP. Add that to Warband Mentored Leveling, which grants you an extra 5% experience to per character you have that hits level 80 — capping out at 25% increase with your fifth character when you gain the achievement Five Warband Mentors: The War Within — and you may wind up with a 65% boost to your earned XP during the first week of August.
You may want to put aside any alt you wish to power level during this event, as they can accumulate rested bonus for an extra 200%, and if you have a full set of heirlooms for characters under 70, will have extended duration. This means your low level characters will be ready to head to K’aresh and defeat Dimensius in Manaforge Omega in patch 11.2.
This month-long event will make leveling your alt army a breeze as well as help you complete some renown trees you may be behind on. Take advantage of this event before the Winds of Mysterious Fortune die down on August 12 as players head into Manaforge Omega.
