How to get and upgrade the Durable Information Securing Container belt in The War Within patch 11.1.7

When The War Within advances to patch 11.1.7 next week, the new Overcharged mechanic will be added to our Delving experiences which will reward us with a powerful belt. Similar to the Incredibly Powerful Gear That We All Had To Have from 11.0.7’s Siren Isle, Cyrce’s Circlet, you’re likely to see nearly every player sporting a Durable Information Securing Container (D.I.S.C.) on their waist until we move into Season 3.

Let’s take a look at what Brann and Dagran have been uncovering in the field and how to obtain the belt. We’ll also cover how to upgrade it and unlock its special abilities, because where’s the fun in wearing a gaudy mechanical pants-retaining system if you can’t customize what kind of energy bolts it shoots out?

Getting your hands on the D.I.S.C. will be fairly straightforward. An initial quest from the Delver’s pavilion in Dornogal will send you to seek out one of the new Overcharged Delves. It seems Titan constructs have emerged and decided to rampage through exactly two Bountiful Delves each day, causing these instances to gain the additional “overcharged” affix. In addition to these powerful mobs, there will also be electricity-based traps to avoid.

It shouldn’t take long to locate an Overcharged Titan Console within one of these juiced-up Delves, and after collecting 50 disc shards from the new Titan-made enemies you’ll be able to unlock its secrets and obtain the most basic version of the D.I.S.C. belt. While the process for obtaining a D.I.S.C. on all of your alts won’t be quite as easy as strolling onto Siren Isle and picking up your powerful ring, cruising through just a few low-level Delves for a few handfuls of disc fragments should be trivial for all but the most Delve-averse of the playerbase.

The initial item level of your D.I.S.C. will be 691, and each week you’ll be able to complete a quest to boost that number in a (once again) very similar way that we powered up Cyrce’s Circlet. After five weeks, you can bring the belt to its eventual maximum item level of 701. That means you’re going to want to get your hands on a D.I.S.C. as soon as patch 11.1.7 hits and be sure to run enough Overcharged Delves to upgrade it each week.

The D.I.S.C. will act like an in-game version of a Sony Walkman with its ability to customize your experience by inserting different discs of a compact nature. As you complete Overcharged Delves, you will occasionally find Miniature Titan Discs in the cornucopia of treasure chests that spawn after the final boss falls. Each of these discs unlocks a proc option for your belt. You’ll have to pick just one proc to be active, but it can trigger anywhere (not just Overcharged Delves).

In a definite quality-of-life upgrade from our time on Siren Isle, these procs will unlock for your entire Warband and you’ll be able to swap them out by interacting with the belt itself whenever you want. The D.I.S.C. comes with two of these abilities built-in, but you can customize your sash with healing-focused zaps, Titan energy shields, or a variety of damage-empowering electrical capabilities.

This is going live on June 17 with patch 11.1.7, so we’ll be seeing D.I.S.C. in action soon!
