The Epic Games Store is offering 112 Operator and Road Redemption for free this week
The Epic Games Store is giving away two games this week that are older, but are just launching on the Epic Games Store this week.
- 112 Operator
- Release Date: April 23, 2020
- Game Type: Management Sim, RTS
- POV: 3rd person
- Party: Single player
- DLC: several mission packs are available for sale.
112 Operator is new to the Epic Store this week, and gameplay is essentially what it says on the tin. You play as an emergency line operator, guiding people through emergencies ranging from giving someone CPR to helping people out of a forest fire — or a gang war. Like a real emergency call center, the calls will vary each time you pick up the phone. However, pretty much everyone you talk to will be having one of the worst days of their life. Enjoy!
- Road Redemption
- Release Date: October 7, 2019
- Game Type: Racing, Vehicle combat
- POV: 3rd person, over the shoulder
- Party: Single player, co-op
- DLC: There is a separate DLC for Endless Mode.
Also new to Epic this week, you can play Road Redemption either solo or with friends, which makes sense for a motorcycle gang game. This isn’t just a leisurely drive — you have to deal with opponents by clocking them with a baseball bat, while also driving a motorcycle. Those opponents range from other bikers to cops on bikes, and you can feel free to do everything from chuck a stick in their spokes so they spin out, to booting them into a logging truck. Sounds like a brutal, but fun combo.
