A fashion guide to obtaining and evaluating the K’areshi questing transmog looks in WoW patch 11.2

If you’ve phase-dived into the first few chapters of the story of World of Warcraft’s patch 11.2, then you’ve earned some snazzy Ethereal-inspired threads. Which of these ensembles takes the interdimensional cake, and which fizzle out on the sands of K’aresh? Let’s equip our Bracers of Fashion Critiquing to evaluate Season 3’s signature looks.

The cloth Luminant Regalia is the winner in my book. The face wrap succeeds in giving the illusion that the wearer is an animate being of energy from another world. Each of the four sets has signature shoulder armor, but the cloth pauldrons stand above the rest. Paired with an Entropic Shadow Staff, this is the closest I’ve felt to the long-awaited playable Ethereal character outside of using a K’aresh Memory Crystal.

I am also going to be wearing the plate set, the Arcanoforged Bulwark, for much of my tanking time during the rest of The War Within. We don’t see too many Ethereals that look like they could take more than a few hits, but the helm with its glowing magenta essence is a flawless representation of a K’areshi who could stand toe-to-toe with Dimensius himself.

The mail Etherbound Panoply has great lines, but the headcover wrap looks a bit stretched on some of my characters. It’s one of those make-or-break fashion moments that takes the whole look down a peg. Finally, you can wear the Dunewalker Leathers on your leather-wearing characters, but I’ll probably be switching back to previous tier sets on my Rogue and Druid instead. The head proportions are again a bit off, and it almost gives the appearance of wearing an Ethereal Halloween mask.

The weapons that are awarded alongside these looks are perhaps the true highlight, as nearly all of them could have come from the trove of an ancient Ethereal army. They have various unrelated names like the Dagger of Unyielding Will, but you should be able to find them in your transmogrification or appearances window in-game by searching for “Entropic.”

So how are all of these appearances earned? Simply by playing the game. You’ll earn the armor piece by piece as you progress through the first three chapters of the K’aresh campaign. The most satisfying part is that we now unlock all of the possible reward looks each time we complete a quest, so playing through the campaign once will add all four outfits to your wardrobe. The same goes for the weapon transmogs. When I earned the staff, I was spellbound by the sheer number of weapon appearances that were added to my arsenal.

You can try on these outfits for yourself in the appearances window under the ‘Sets’ tab. You can also decide which of the five recolors you like best, and aim to complete an Ethereal look that aligns even more with you and your character’s fashion taste. So which of these quest sets will you be wearing on the Manaforge Omega red carpet?
