How to collect cloak set appearances in WoW patch 11.2
Patch 11.2 introduced the Reshii Wraps, a new upgradeable legendary cloak that’s required for the Manaforge Omega raid. As it’s easy to acquire and more powerful than a standard cloak the development team was nice enough to not put any other back slot items on the various 11.2 loot tables. This does result in a question though: how does one acquire the cloak appearance for the class tier sets or the K’aresh world and quest drops? Fortunately the otherwise unobtainable appearances can be purchased from vendors or rewarded by achievement.
The first step to acquiring the raid tier cloak appearances is to reach Renown 2 with the Manaforge Vandals. Upon doing so you’ll receive a quest Head Hunting: Loom’ithar which simply requires you to defeat the boss on any raid difficulty including LFR. Don’t fret if you’ve already defeated Loom’ithar that week; relogging should give you completion credit. Once you have completed the quest you’ll turn it in to Ba’choso at the entrance to the raid and you’ll receive your first Loombeast Silk needed to obtain the cloak appearances. You’ll receive another Loombeast Silk on the first Loom’ithar defeat by your warband each week — including the first week if you have another character able to beat Loom’ithar or if you can defeat it on multiple difficulties. It will thus take 12-13 weeks to collect all the appearances.
There are 13 class ensembles available for purchase from Ba’choso for one Loombeast Silk apiece and they include matching appearances for all four raid difficulties. The ensembles are:
- Death Knight: Ensemble: Hollow Sentinel’s Wingdrapes
- Demon Hunter: Ensemble: Vicious Charhound’s Felcovers
- Druid: Ensemble: Plumes of the Mother Eagle
- Evoker: Ensemble: Spellweaver’s Immaculate Runecloaks
- Hunter: Ensemble: Midnight Herald’s Shrouds
- Mage: Ensemble: Augur’s Ephemeral Brilliance
- Monk: Ensemble: Breeze of Fallen Storms
- Paladin: Ensemble: Gilded Cloaks of the Lucent Battalion
- Priest: Ensemble: Memories of a Dying Star
- Rogue: Ensemble: Capes of the Sudden Eclipse
- Shaman: Ensemble: Shawls of Channeled Fury
- Warlock: Ensemble: Inquisitor’s All-Seeing Madness
- Warrior: Ensemble: Living Weapon’s Capes
Note that the Loombeast Silk isn’t a Unique item and stacks to 20 so you’ll be able to hold on to them as long as you need to before deciding which cloak sets to purchase with them.

Cloaks are also available for activities around K’aresh
As typical for any major patch there are several new armor sets available with each variety typically shared by those who use the same armor type. The source of the cloak appearances is typically related to the activity that rewards the other items in the set:
- Questing: 8 of the 9 appearances in the set come from completing the patch 11.2 campaign. Unlocking the cloaks for all four armor types requires the purchase of the K’areshi Ribbon Stash available from the K’aresh Trust quartermaster for 2250 Resonance Crystals once your Warband has reached Renown 14.
- Delves: Delve rewards are designated as Void-Scarred. The cloaks are available from the Ensemble: Bundle of Ethereal Cloaks sold by Sir Finley Mrrgglton at Delve HQ in Dornogal for 2000 Undercoins. Note that there is no Delver’s Progress requirement to purchase this ensemble.
- World Drops: The Wastelander/Worn Shadowguard appearances drop from mobs and caches in patch 11.2. In order to unlock the cloak appearances you need to defeat two of the Warrant targets in K’aresh and earn the Moonlighter achievement. This will grant you the Ethereal Sash Cache which contains the cloak appearances — note that it tends to end up in your mail when you complete the achievement.
- Rares: The Rare Monsters on K’aresh have their own exclusive appearance drops designated as Reshii. The matching cloak appearances are sold as the Ensemble: Ancient Capes of the Reshii by Shad’anis at Overlook Zo’Shuul aka where you go to upgrade your Reshii Wraps. The ensemble costs 5 Untethered Coins which are gained from the weekly More Than Just a Phase phase diving quest. There is no requirement besides unlocking the weekly to purchase the Ensemble, and since you gain 7 Untethered Coins the first time your Warband completes the quest each week you can purchase it as early as you want.
Shad’anis also sells an Untethered ensemble for each armor class for 5 Untethered Coins apiece; however this ensemble includes the cloak so there is no additional purchase required to complete the look.
