WoW servers are all back online after a (mostly) short Tuesday maintenance
It’s a busy week in World of Warcraft, but a (mostly) quiet week for maintenance. While we’re looking forward to news about Midnight tomorrow — and the alpha starting shortly after that — WoW maintenance is scheduled to be a short hour this week. We’re now outside of the original maintenance window, and though all servers came back online as scheduled, Mists of Pandaria soon went back offline for emergency maintenance, though they came back online at around 10:30 pacific (1:30 eastern), a couple of hours later than scheduled.
Here’s the WoW maintenance schedule for Tuesday, September 30:
- The War Within: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
- Mists of Pandaria Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern) — maintenance extended!
- WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
All WoW realms are now back online, though support says they’re continuing to monitor the situation.
This week may be a calm one (for most WoW players), but there is a lot on the near horizon. Modern WoW fans can look forward to a Midnight Q&A on Wednesday at 12pm eastern followed by the alpha launch on Thursday. Also on Wednesday, WoW Classic Anniversary realms launch Phase 6, the final phase before they head into The Burning Crusade (no date announced for that yet). Next week Legion Remix launches, bringing a plethora of new transmog and cosmetics to collect, as well as a speedy way to level any characters you want to have ready for Midnight’s launch next year.
Modern players should expect extended maintenance next week with the launch of patch 11.2.5 (which contains very little other than Legion Remix), so enjoy this short maintenance while we have it!
Hopefully I’ll be seeing you in Azeroth soon!
