When does Legion Remix end? January 19, 2026!

Legion Remix is live and players are having a blast leveling toons and buying new collectibles with Bronze and other currencies. The party has to end however so even though we’ve only just started fighting back against the Burning Legion there is going to come a day when Eternus and the rest of the Infinite Dragonflight will depart from Dalaran. Fortunately due to the in-game calendar we know that Legion Remix ends on January 19, 2026.

Until then we have a lot to look forward to:

  • October 7: Broken Isles, Emerald Nightmare, Trial of Valor — Now Live!
  • October 21: Return to Karazhan, Nighthold, Insurrection campaign
  • November 4: Broken Shore, Cathedral of Eternal Night, Tomb of Sargeras
  • November 18: Argus, Seat of the Triumvirate, Antorus the Burning Throne
  • December 9: Infinite Echoes

The final phase Infinite Echoes launches the week of December 9 and promises catch-up opportunities and additional content. While there is a two week interval between phases (with an exception for the US Thanksgiving Holiday week), the final phase will last for almost six weeks giving players plenty of time to acquire everything they want from ReLegion.

Does the end of Legion Remix mean the beginning of Midnight (or its prepatch)? No.

It’s tempting to think that that the January 19 end date suggests that the Midnight prepatch or the expansion itself will go live that week. However this did not happen with Mists of Pandaria Remix — ReMists was still running when The War Within prepatch went live, and the expansion launched a week after Remix ended. Because there were player complaints about characters “trapped” in ReMists that couldn’t partake in the prepatch a new feature was added to ReLegion: the ability to bring a character over to the Live game before the event ends. This function will be especially helpful when Player Housing goes live with patch 11.2.7.

It’s also possible that with Player Housing being such an important feature that there will be no traditional prepatch event; patch 11.2.7 has already been called the Midnight prologue“. We’ll need to wait and see what happens when patch 12.0 arrives on the PTR later this year or early next year.
