Get in the Thanksgiving spirit with these super cute Turkeys!
Thanksgiving is almost upon us in the US and while the primary role of turkeys in the holiday is to be eaten let’s not forget that they can be super cute animals as well. Sure wild turkeys can be as aggressive and nasty as geese or swans but that doesn’t mean they can’t be cute too! I mean look at these precious balls of fluff strutting and gobbling:
They don’t have to be babies to be cute either. Check out these turkeys enjoying their own version of a Thanksgiving meal:
Chico and Adele not only get to eat a delicious meal on Thanksgiving instead of being one, but they have a close chicken friend named Mr. Green who loves to hang out with them.
Domestic turkeys tend to be politer than wild ones so you’ll never see them take over a school carpool lane and harass students like Mr. Tom did last year at Alston Ridge Elementary:
While I’m sure many didn’t find Mr. Tom’s antics as cute as I do you have to admit the principal chasing him away with an umbrella is pretty funny.
Not all turkeys get violent around kids — some have kids of their own! Check out the super cute chicks of Albert:
What’s great about this video is that I learned something I had not known: Turkeys can swim! Of course we all know wild turkeys can fly (even if their domesticated cousins usually can’t) but I didn’t realize they were swimmers. Obviously not as agile as a duck mind you, but they can still hold their own.
Sometimes humans don’t adopt turkeys — the turkeys adopt humans! Pepper started hanging around a family and refused to leave:
Pepper’s antics has made her quite popular on TikTok!
So there you have it: Turkeys can be as cute as any other animal! Just try not to get too close to any wild ones you encounter or you could end up with a cute scar!
