Meet some of the adorable fauna of Founder’s Point, the new Alliance neighborhood for WoW player housing

The longest-awaited feature in World of Warcraft history, Player Housing, is here for players who have pre-ordered the Midnight expansion, and with these new zones come a new collection of Azeroth’s fauna to love and admire. Let’s meet some of the beasts and critters of the new Alliance player housing neighborhood, Founder’s Point.

Friends, I won the housing lottery — not only does my Horde house in Razorwind Shores have a fox on the property, my (Alliance guild) home in the Brumewood Hollow biome also has a vulpine friend. These foxes fit right in with the spooky Duskwood aesthetic and with WoW in general. They have just enough of a fantasy/otherworldly vibe about them, with their long ears and glowing eyes, that they fit beautifully to me.

This duckling was so tiny I had to do some serious cropping to admire them. It was absolutely worth it though, because look at that little face. There are clusters of duckling along various waterways in Founder’s Point, with their duck parents.

I found this horse in a small herd that only exists in Mear’s Farm, an Elwynn-esque rolling farmland area to the northwest of Founder’s Point. Look at that gorgeous pattern. Who says the horses of WoW have to be blocky pixel nightmares?

Cows are the other major herd of Founder’s Point, although this one is found in Gilded Oaks. Think Westfall vibes instead of Elwynn, but still absolutely lovely with its fall colors and coastal views. Now, these are not to be confused with the free range cows wandering throughout most of the neighborhood, although they steer clear of the spooky graveyard feel of Brumewood. Also, a total favorite of the Blizzard Watch staff!

The dogs of Founder’s Point are exclusive to the areas around the Town Center. This little speckled pup is found with Iyanna the toy vendor so not only is the dog cute but surrounded by cute toys on display, like the Elekk Plushie (sadly, said plushies are not on sale with the toy vendor).

OK, I admit it, the otter pups are kind of weird looking, but I find them really cute. They’re pretty exclusive to The Outer Banks in the waterways known as Crescent Cove. The area is gorgeous, and the otters (as well as their pups) make for a precious counterpoint to the striking environs.

We’re wrapping up with one of the original cute critters of World of Warcraft — the hare. And they can be found absolutely all over Founder’s Point. Try to find all three models!

This sampling of the abundant life residing in the Alliance neighborhood of Founder’s Point is pretty specific, as some of the cutest residents — the butterflies, dragonflies, and the few ravens — are mostly found flying about (and thus, spectacularly hard to screenshot). There are also some amazing members of aquatic life as well; the Majestic Orca especially lives up to its name. Don’t forget to roam your neighborhood and meet your beast and critter neighbors.
