Today’s World of Warcraft maintenance is short and sweet — all WoW servers are back online!

This week’s World of Warcraft maintenance should be another short one, because no one wants to put in too many hours of work on a holiday week (not even the poor admins in charge of rebooting the realms just before New Year’s). All WoW servers are scheduled to be offline for just an hour today, and I don’t expect maintenance will run long.

Here’s the WoW maintenance schedule for Tuesday, December 23:

• The War Within: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
• Mists of Pandaria Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
• WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)

All WoW servers are back online! Servers came back up within a half hour, so it was an extra speedy maintenance today.

There’s nothing new this week that might call for extra maintenance — and nothing new this week to call for extra hours of game time we could get from the servers being online a little longer than usual this week. We’re in a bit of a doldrums between content launches, as players wait to see what’s coming next. WoW Classic Anniversary realms get the TBC pre-patch on January 13, and modern WoW will get the Midnight pre-patch on January 20. In Mists of Pandaria, the new Throne of Thunder raid has been out for three weeks, and while it and its related content are some of the best the game has to offer, it’s no longer the new hotness.

But this slow period is always a good time to play catch up, whether you’re planning on picking up Ahead of the Curve for Manaforge Omega or you — like me — have a lot of bronze left to farm in Legion Remix. There’s still time to work on both, or other in-game goals of your choice, before the next big thing arrives.

Hopefully I’ll see you in Azeroth soon. I’ll be the underleveled Remix alt scrambling to catch up with the raid group.
