Another quick maintenance week in World of Warcraft — all WoW servers back online
It’s another speedy WoW maintenance this week, as all World of Warcraft servers scheduled to be offline for an hour this morning. Blink and you might miss this one.
Here’s the WoW maintenance schedule for Tuesday, January 6:
- The War Within: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
- Mists of Pandaria Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
- WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
All World of Warcraft servers are back online, and significantly early. If you blinked, you may really may have missed this one, as some realms were back online within 20 minutes. That’s certainly one of the fastest maintenance cycles I can remember.
I expect this will be our last short maintenance for a while, though. Next week WoW Classic anniversary realms are rolling out The Burning Crusade pre-patch (though Blizzard hasn’t confirmed when TBC itself will launch). The week after, the Midnight pre-patch launches on modern realms. Both of those are likely to require some significant downtime on their respective realms, and busy weeks to follow. With potential patch day bugs, we may have a few more long maintenances to follow.
So what I’m saying is enjoy it while it lasts.
I’ll update this post with current maintenance status when there are updates, whether the servers are up early or maintenance is extended. But here’s to hoping I’ll see you in Azeroth soon.
