The decks you need to win Hearthstone’s Temporus Shift Tavern Brawl

Check your DeLoreans, hot tubs, TARDISes, and Pym particles because it’s time for A Temporus Shift Tavern Brawl. You know, if isn’t our favorite bronze dragon, Chromie, messing with the timestreams, it might be everyone’s favorite Hearthstone Infinite Dragon, Temporus. No, he’s not a pirate, despite how cool that would be. He’s just here to have a big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey-wimey fun.

Tavern Brawl basics

  • Name: A Temporus Shift
  • Description: “Time is an illusion, turn times doubly so. Build a standard deck and each turn (except the first turn this time) you’ll get an extra turn!”
  • Fun level: 1/10
  • Difficulty: 5/10
  • Replayability: 5/10
  • Format: Standard
  • Type: PVP
  • Deck: Constructed
  • Rewards: 1 Across the Timeways pack

As you might infer from the title, this Brawl is based around the Battlecry on the Legendary Priest minion, Temporus. After the first turn of the game, each player will take two turns in a row. It’s like you’re playing UNO with one other person and you’ve always got a Skip card in hand… and so do they. This small change makes cards like Doomsayer and Depth Charge are far more reliable since you can guarantee they’ll go off by dropping them on your first of your two turns. It also gives ample opportunity to set up two-turn combos to kill your opponent.

How to win A Temporus Shift Tavern Brawl

As with almost every Constructed Brawl, there are two components to winning: your deck and your piloting. The deck you’ll either make or copy one from the Internet prior to the game. In Constructed Brawls, players discover the most powerful lists very quickly. This leads to the Brawl falling into a meta structure like we see on the Ladder. In the case of a repeated Brawl, you would usually see players bring back powerful lists from the last time, but with the Standard ruleset in place for this Brawl, that won’t be an option. Piloting refers to making the right turn-to-turn decisions, which is essential to winning even if you’re using the best deck available.

This Brawl’s ruleset seems tailor made for OTK and combo decks. Hyper-aggressive decks should do well as they’ll have two turns to pour damage into the enemy. If you’re struggling to win, I’ve got decks from around the community as well as my own creation that you can try.

The latest decks for the Temporus Shift Tavern Brawl

These are some of the best new decks for the January 2026 edition of this Brawl. You’ll notice that it’s pretty much all aggressive strategies, playing lots of minions and damage effects. That’s definitely the winning strategy for this Brawl: fill your board with minions, and smash your opponent before they can react.

Elemental Mage

  • Author: Ryzhr
  • Deck code:
    AAECAf0EApnqBp+WBw79ngSyngbTngaBogbipgaozgbb4wbt5gbf6gbHhweblgfOmweHnAeLsQcAAA==
  • Play an Elemental every single turn, since they have synergy with each other. You have Blob of Tar for protection and effects like Solar Flare to help you clear pesky enemy minions if needed. Your Fireballs are excellent to finish close games.

Imbue Mage

  • Author: SirFabioRosado
  • Deck code:
    AAECAf0EAvKDB+SyBw79ngTonwS0pwaBvwaF5gaG5gbW+gb0/Ab3gQfujQfxkQe7lAfsngfopQcAAA==
  • This deck is all about using your Imbued hero power to ping enemy minions and your enemy’s face directly, and constantly. Sleet Skater helps you survive, and you have a ton of damage spells to aid you as well.

Aggro Demon Hunter

  • Author: GenerART
  • Deck code:
    AAECAea5AwaYoASongbHpAbEuAbM4Qa1mAcM0p8E7Z8Gw7AG17gG9sAGkMEG1cEGqP0G3v8GtpcH9aoHobEHAAED8bMGx6QG8rMGx6QG6N4Gx6QGAAA=
  • You’ll want to start with cards that let you attack your opponent, like Time-Lost Glaive and Spirit of the Team, and minions that benefit from those attacks, such as Sock Puppet Slitherspear. Zilliax is a major threat with his pretty much guaranteed 10 attack, and Kayn is your ideal game closer, bypassing enemy taunts.

Aggro Paladin

  • Author: m1327
  • Deck code:
    AAECAcOfAwAPyaAEntQElPUFlfUFtZ4G1J4G3roGlL8Gn+EG7eYGyP8GupYH15cHvJoHirEHAAA=
  • Pour 1-cost minions all over your board and then buff them with Busy-Bot and Crusader Aura to give your opponent a bad time, almost assuredly. Cheap minions and buffs, what a combination!

Older decks that might still work for the Temporus Shift Tavern Brawl

Aggro Paladin 2025

  • Deck code:
    AAECAZ8FAs6eBsekBg7JoASe1ASU9QWV9QXUngbeugaUvwaf4Qbt5gbI/waFlQfXlwe8mgeKsQcAAQPzswbHpAb2swbHpAbo3gbHpAYAAA==
  • This was one the strongest decks in Standard a while agoy, and it fits this Brawl very well: aggressive strategies in general will shine. Fill your board with things, buff them, and use your extra turns for powerful attacks that the opponent can do little about.

Menagerie Death Knight

  • Deck code:
    AAECAfHhBALLpQWouAYO9eMEtIAF1J4G/agG/7oGx8kG/8kGkMsGlM8GtfoGgf0Gl4IHyIwHoqwHAAA=
  • Another aggressive strategy that can also fill the board fast and buff it, not directly with spells, but through other minions like Monstrous Mosquito and Menagerie Jug. You also have a fair amount of removal to deal with whatever is in your way. Make sure to hit them fast!

Pain Demon Hunter

  • Deck code:
    AAECAea5AwaXoASYoASongbHpAbEuAbM4QYMtp8E0p8E7Z8Gw7AG17gG9sAGkMEG1cEGx4cHtpcHtZgH0a8HAAED8bMGx6QG8rMGx6QG6N4Gx6QGAAA=
  • Guess what? A third aggressive strategy option for this Brawl, though this one is a bit more “everlasting” than the last two, with ways to keep you up if you’re having trouble surviving.

More A Temporus Shift deck lists

One of these decks should see you through to a victory. I even managed to get a win with my Buff Priest deck. Keep checking Hearthpwn, because there are more Tavern Brawl decks being added by the hour. If you find another great list, share it with us in the comments.

Overall, this was not my favorite Brawl. It’s full of the OTK and aggressive decks that I don’t particularly enjoy playing (or playing against). At least the games can be quick, so if you need to knock some quests, this is a good option. Good luck getting this week’s pack!
