What did you think of Legion: Remix?
The sands of another alternate timeline have drained away (and exploded) now that Legion: Remix has officially wrapped — so what are your parting thoughts on our return to the Broken Isles?
As this was our second remixed adventure with the Infinite Dragonflight, we have a basis for comparison now. I enjoyed this fel-scarred go-around more than our time revisiting Pandaria, and I think it comes down to a few differences. The first edition of Remix felt like a fun way to level some new characters, but Legion’s version felt like it was built from that foundation into its own unique experience.
Heroic World Tier was a fantastic addition. Being able to toggle the challenge level based on my mood came in handy constantly. Sometimes you want to focus and actually have to think when questing, but other times you just want to pop on a movie and blast your way through hordes of unsuspecting mobs as an Infinitely Powerful juggernaut.
There were other minor touches and details that made me think that the development team really set out to make this iteration pop as its own chapter rather than a power-leveling revisit to old content. The single Infinite Bazaar, the cheeky mission skips by Moratari, and the goodbye quests all added up to give a little extra flavor to this eddy in Azeroth’s time stream.
I never made it to an absurdly high power level, but I was able to earn almost all of the rewards that I had my eye on. The mount and transmog options were all fantastic, and the addition of Player Housing decor to the Bronze merchant list means that I’ll be lining hallways with venomous-looking green candles and felsteel chains every time I’m in a spooky mood.
There were frustrating aspects of this version as well. I saw many players bemoan the lack of power that new characters had when reaching max level, as Infinite Power was not Warbound. Running a fresh alt through end-game content in Mists of Pandara: Remix was something that a lot of folks enjoyed and then missed this time around. There were also awkward scaling issues when leveling or grouping that left players scratching their headss and healers feeling neglected.
So what are your final feelings on Legion: Remix? Will it be a hard game mode to top, or are you looking forward to moving on to Midnight?
