How to obtain the Shu’halo Perspective (Tauren Painting) housing decor for only 999 gold

We’ve all known, since it first appeared as decoration in the Undermine zone, that this Shu’halo Perspective painting (an original Moocasso!) is the greatest piece of art that’s ever been created in World of Warcraft. You can’t really put a price on such a precious item. So when it was found in the inventory of a our old pal Cravitz Lorent within the Murder Row dungeon as an actual decor item you can use in Player Housing, no one was surprised that it cost 9,999,999 gold.

Turns out there’s a way to get it for just 999 gold, though. Credit for finding this trick goes to the Christa & Jay Youtube Channel.

In that same dungeon, Murder Row, right in the beginning, there’s an NPC called Soothsayer Sargle who you can talk to to get your fortune read. You’ll receive a debuff (the Fortunes are all bad!), and an actual Sargle’s Fortune item. There are 13 different versions of that Sargle’s Fortune item, and the trick here is simply to collect them all.

Once you have all 13 versions of Sargle’s Fortune in your bags and talk to Cravitz again, he’ll have updated the price of the priceless Shu’halo Perspective to a much more reasonable 999 gold! You can buy it, learn the decor item, and use it in your House.

There are a few ways to get all 13 Sargle’s Fortune: you can buy them on the Auction House, or you can farm them yourself. The first method might get pricey: people have been selling those fortunes for a lot since this trick was found. It might be feasible if you’re only missing a few of these.

To farm them yourself, there’s one trick you can use: Follower Dungeons. Queue for Murder Row on a Follower Dungeon and clear the first few packs of mobs, and you’ll be right at Soothsayer Sargle (you can target Sargle right as you enter the dungeon with /target Soothsayer to find them more easily and know where to go). The problem is that apparently you can only get one Fortune a day.

This can be circumvented with alts. If you’ve already fully completed the Midnight campaign, any of your level 80 alts can queue for this Follower Dungeon and get one Fortune for themselves each day. It may take a few days of work, and having alts really pays off here, but eventually you can get all 13.

So what are you waiting for? Hurry up to the Murder Row, and be blessed by this magnificent Moocasso masterpiece!
