Simulation games tend to have a bit of sameness to them, whether they’re exploring a job or a concept. Electrician Simulator is a decent entry for the genre, and does explore some of the particular intricacies of being an electrician. But there’s just something so similar between this game and games like PC Building Simulator and even Car Mechanic Simulator or House Flipper. Learn how to use menus to diagnose a problem, then hold left click on the appropriate thingamabob to make the character get the greebles out and complete the job. There are dials to monitor and OSHA would probably be horrified by some of the things your clients are asking you to do.

If you enjoy titles like that, you’ll enjoy this, but if the idea of doing work for fun isn’t how you want to spend your days off, you may not enjoy Electrician Simulator. Personally, I find these games relaxing and cozy despite the pressures of fictional jobs, so I’ll definitely be picking this one up again for free. And if you’re really into it, you can also purchase some addon DLC which gives you more electrician jobs to do.
