What are you most looking forward to in Midnight’s next patch, 12.0.7?

Believe it or not, World of Warcraft’s next installment of content is already on the radar — we just got our first look at Midnight patch 12.0.7, and there seems to be quite a lot going on for a relatively minor update. Which new feature are you most excited for?

Towards the top of my list, as always, are any new story-related additions. That means the new Lorewalking chapter is going to be a priority for me. A Troll-heavy look at the history of the various loa sounds like a good primer for the rest of Midnight, and Cho and Li Li always throw in some brand new connective lore to thread together the various pieces across different eras and continents. There’s also an ominous-sounding field trip to Harandar alongside Zul’jan, which seems like just the right breadcrumb trail to lead us to whatever patch 12.1 will bring.

The other entry that caught my eye on the official roundup was the reward for the next installment of Turbulent Timeways. With the addition of Dragonflight Dungeons to the power-leveling bonanza, it makes sense that the mount reward for participating would be drake-adjacent. The Spawn of Vyrnanoth, however, is an ice-encrusted proto-drake with an awesomeness level so high that I’m abandoning my alts right now via a note that says “see you when 12.0.7 drops.”

The Sunstrider Omnium didn’t overly excite me as an in-game feature, but the fact that Umbric and Rommath will be continuing their two-Elf act so soon greatly pleases me. I can’t wait to empower whatever the latest borrowed power gizmo is alongside everyone’s favorite reunited duo.

There’s also a new single-boss fungus-filled raid in Sporefall — maybe you’re excited for the Mythic flex experiment there. If you’re a fan of zipping through gateways to other planets, then there will be portals opening in Voidstorm to worlds occupied by our enemies. Hatching Jan’alai’s eggs could be fun, depending on exactly how much time I can spare given this monster list of things to do combined with the earlier Midnight content that’s still relevant — I haven’t even gone Abyss Angling yet!

So which new bit of World of Warcraft is most up your alley among the 12.0.7 content?
