What content from The War Within have you jumped back to now that you’re overpowered?

Now that we’re a few months into Midnight and we’ve had a chance to hit the new level cap and gear up, many players are looking to take a bit of a break from the constant onslaught of powerful enemies and spend some downtime in less dangerous regions of Azeroth. Past expansions are a great place to do some mount collecting or transmog farming without worrying that you’ll be ambushed and killed by a roving pack of max-level cultists.

For the first time, The War Within fits within this low-level category of content. I was lucky enough to play through and complete quite a bit of the content on Khaz Algar, but I still have plenty of unearned achievements to revisit and cosmetics to collect.

First up on any self-respecting World of Warcraft player’s list is the quest log spring cleaning. I realized that I had left K’aresh without acquiring all of the random nonsense required by perennial Troll capitalist Griftah, but I was able to make quick work of the denizens of the phase-diving plane of the purple desert world and earn the rare blue slateback morph.

Taking a look at my Quest and Exploration achievement tabs for The War Within sent me back to the Oasis to finish assisting Ve’nari in some now-hyperspeed plantary ecology experiments. Ripping through those quest chains back-to-back resulted in the eco-domes of K’aresh becoming stuffed full of critters in a single night, and I’ve nearly restored the environment enough to earn the resplendent orange version of K’aresh’s once-again-native mega-bird.

The other feature from Khaz Algar that I had been curious about revisiting is Delves. It turns out that being ten levels above all of the enemies does indeed render blasting through these instances on Tier 11 an absolute breeze. I’m working my way through filling out the achievements that I missed as well as power-leveling Brann up to his expansion-end ceiling.
