How to invite Pepe to come perch in your Player Housing in World of Warcraft

When Pepe was originally introduced in Warlords of Draenor, this adorable orange avian companion was an interactable object in your Garrison, who got easier to reach as your Garrison was upgraded, so it make perfect sense that he’s coming to visit our Player Housing house, too.

If you click on a Pepe out in the world, he will appear perched on your head for an hour. Scattered around the Warlords of Draenor zones were several versions of Pepe who were wearing costumes, clicking on those versions of Pepe unlocked the appearance as an option for the summoned Pepe. Patch 6.1.0 introduced an achievement which allowed you to summon Pepe on demand wherever you are.

Over the last decade (yes, it’s really been that long) other versions of the orange bird have been introduced, and now there are currently 18 additional appearances available in game for Pepe that can collected over his original default form.

With Patch 12.1 you will have the ability to obtain a player housing decor version of Pepe that you can place in or around your house.

To unlock the decor version of Pepe you will need to click on him where he is perched on the notice board in your Neighborhood.

Sounds simple enough, however in order for him to appear there you need to have collected one of these two bird whistle toys:

The first one is the reward for completing a fairly long but easy for a max level character achievement What A Strange, Interdimensional Trip It’s Been. The second is a collectible from the Winter Veil event, which a chance of being found when you open a Stolen Present. It’s important to note that while people did receive this reward during the 2024 Winter’s Veil event, it was missing from the loot table in the 2025 event. If you want to invite the orange puffball into your home, it might be more reliable to complete the longer achievement than hope that the loot table has been fixed in December 2026.

How to get more Pepe Player Housing Decor

Once you have unlocked the initial decor item, additional copies can be purchased from the Pet Bed vendor in your neighborhood in the form of a Mechanically Indistinguishable Pepe.

Perry Winkles can be found in Founder’s Point, in the house just down the street from the bulletin board with the doghouse behind it.

Agratha can be found in Razorwind Shores, in a hut up the stairs between Rotha the general contractor, and the portal for your neighborhood’s Endeavor.

Because Pepe is a decor item, he can be manipulated visually in the same way as any other decor item. You can scale him up and down in size, rotate him on the XYZ axis, or move him in any of the cardinal directions. You can also clip him through other objects if you wish.

The placed Pepe decor item is interactable. If you click on him it will put a Pepe on your head, drawing randomly from any of the appearances you have unlocked, acting like the Pepes you find out in the world.

Do you plan to invite Pepe into your home? Do you plan to have just a singular Pepe or do want to have an aviary of the little (or not so little) orange buddies filling your house?
