A modest maintenance day for World of Warcraft — all servers back online!
Today’s World of Warcraft maintenance isn’t too bad: Midnight realms have two hours of downtime scheduled, while all Classic realms only have the standard hour of downtime scheduled. So it’s an itty bitty extended maintenance, but it shouldn’t be too bad.
Here’s the WoW maintenance schedule for Tuesday, August 25:
- Midnight: Offline from 7am – 9am pacific (10am – 12pm eastern)
- Mists of Pandaria Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
- WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
- The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
All World of Warcraft servers are back online!
Midnight players will be getting a fresh round of class balance changes during this week’s extended maintenance, but most of them are buffs intended to boost performance for specs that aren’t performing as well as Blizzard intended. At least to my eyes, it doesn’t look like these changes will be terribly disruptive.
All in all, it’s a pretty quiet maintenance day. There’s not a lot happening, probably no disasters looming, and servers should be up relatively soon. But waiting out maintenance doesn’t pack in enough excitement for you this morning, you could tune in to the Race to World First where European guilds will be playing while NA realms are down. Or, with a bit more patience, work on your bingo card for Gamescom Opening Night Live which starts today at 1pm eastern. There may not be much going on in Warcraft right now, but there’s likely to be quite a bit of gaming news this afternoon.
All servers are back online, so I hope I see you in Azeroth soon!
