World of Warcraft: Midnight patch 12.1.5 will release on October 13, 2026!

Like a snake, or maybe like a raid full of snakes, time slithers ever-forward — and with the march of time, comes a new patch for World of Warcraft. No sooner had Midnight patch 12.1 and its treasure trove of scaly goodies dropped into our lap like a bundle of joy horror than it was time for patch 12.1.5 to make its appearance on the Public Test Realms. We’ve handled our little snake problem, now it’s time to get back to hunting for the Void, a fact that certain snake-averse editors-in-chief will no doubt be thankful for.

Blizzard has been extremely consistent with the eight-week patch cadence, but it seems like maybe this one needs an extra week to get ready to release — almost like Blizzard had some other major event during this eight week cycle that impacted development work. Go figure. Anyway, as they’ve announced, World of Warcraft patch 12.1.5 will launch on October 13, 2026.

What’s in patch 12.1.5?

We have a rundown of what we know is in the patch in detail, but the quick summary is:

• A new story campaign chapter, The Promise of Tomorrow
• A new one-boss raid, The Unbinding of Kith’ix
• Aqir Invasion public events in Eversong Woods and Zul’aman. Good news: it’s not snakes anymore, it’s bugs!
• Ascendant Venomstones, the successor to 12.0’s Ascendant Voidcores, here to help you push the power level of your weapons, trinkets, and necklaces a little further
• Warbind-wide reputations for Legion and Battle for Azeroth reputations
• A whole bevy of updates to classes, as usual
• Housing, Prey, and UI updates
• And possibly the most exciting, the game’s first Labyrinth! You may remember these were announced as a sort of “megadungeon” version of Delves; 12.1.5 brings us the first one, the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan

This patch is no slouch, and whether you’re looking to pick up some neat gear from the one-boss raid, power up the stuff you already have, or dive into an enormous labyrinth, patch 12.1.5 appears to have you covered.
