BlizzCon 2026

BlizzCon is over.

One of the least advertised things on the BlizzCon 2026 map was a small area in the World of Warcraft section labeled "Last Call at the Arcantina".

World of Warcraft: Forever is bringing new and expanded content and gameplay to Classic Azeroth when it launches worldwide on November 4, 2026 as part of your regular World of Warcraft subscription, no additional purchase necessary!

As you may have deduced by my recent run of BlizzCon coverage, last weekend was my first time attending the event in person.

Throughout BlizzCon 2026, we received plenty of information and news about the huge reveal of World of Warcraft: Forever, the roadmap for the rest World of Warcraft: Midnight, and even teasers for The Last Titan and Wrath of the Lich King Remix.

There are a great many dimensions that make gatherings of nerds charming and fun, and perhaps none put a smile on the faces of passersby better than cosplay.

At the end of BlizzCon's World of Warcraft Midnight What's Next panel, Blizzard devs revealed that Wrath of the Lich King Remix is coming sometime in the summer of 2027, around the same time as the last Midnight patch 12.2.7.

World of Warcraft: Forever is launching on November 4 with a 40-player Onyxia's Lair raid as well as two brand new raids: Hyjal Summit (20-player) and the Barrow Deeps (10-player).

Coming early next year, WoW Midnight patch 12.2 heralds the start of the third (and, given the past couple expansions, likely final) content season for this expansion.

After I got my hands on the World of Warcraft: Forever demo in the BlizzCon media village, I knew that a single play-through of the Skyborne starting area wasn't going to be enough to answer all of your questions about how this unique zone looked and felt.
