It's a holiday weekend here in the United States, but the video game train doesn't stop.

We've hit the middle of May! The birds are singing, the thunderstorms are thundering, and games are... oddly not really releasing. Some are, which we will talk about this week -- but it looks like a lot of titles avoided releasing this week for fear of being crushed by DOOM: The Dark Ages. Which, of course, we'll be talking about this week!

This week, we're going to take an adventure with a fox and a raven (Spirit of the North 2), get revenge against a savage planet (Revenge of the Savage Planet), and to study some magic and relax (Ithya: Magic Studies). We'll also touch on a favorite of mine that's on sale, being we're a little light on new, well rated, interesting titles this week (Dark Souls 3).

It's Friday, it's warm (well, it's warm here), and it's a holiday weekend, so let's take a look and see what's new and notable in gaming for the long weekend.

Somehow, we've managed to come to another Friday (it was just Monday I do not understand what happened), and while this week was a little on the slimmer side of large AAA game releases, let's talk games.

Diablo 4 patch 2.2.0 will be launching with Season 8 on April 29, but we've already seen the game's next update on the PTR and the biggest feature that stood out to me was the boss ladder rework.
