The solstice isn't until tomorrow but if you live in the United States you're already dealing with a ridiculous heat wave; our neighbors on the other side of the world aren't much luckier, as Australia is dealing with really cold temperatures as its winter commences.

Last weekend's Summer Game Fest and this week's Steam NextFest have conspired to give us a ton of demos to try out this weekend.

With all the excitement of The War Within's release date announcement this past weekend it's easy to forget that WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is still going and will continue right up until the week before TWW's release.

Summer Game Fest was this past weekend and there were a lot of games that caught our interest.

The newest expansion for World of Warcraft has been announced and it is titled The War Within.

Summer Game Fest, the video game industry's largest annual event (now that E3 is officially dead, cremated, and its ashes scattered to the breeze), starts this week, and the sheer volume of shows  happening over the week is enough to make any gamer salivate.

Guild Wars 2's newest expansion is Janthir Wilds, which is set on islands long guarded by the wizards of the Astral Ward, giving us zones littered with the ruins of the fabled Mursaat along with more recent inhabitants such as the White Mantle.

It hasn't been that long since we learned that the untitled survival game did not survive Blizzard's transition to Microsoft ownership.

It's been one year since Diablo 4 was released and to celebrate the anniversary Sanctuary is having two events as well as giving out free goodies from the online shop.

After a month away for patch 10.2.7, Season 4 and ReMists I finally got back to playing and finishing Tales of Kenzera: ZAU and let me tell you this game was so good my friends. While it is your standard “metroidvania” game, the graphics and music were amazingly well-done. The gameplay wasn’t revolutionary for the genre but it still managed to add some twists to the standard formula, and some of the environmental puzzles were hard. This was clearly a labor of love for the dev team and while there’s more than a half a year to go it’s sitting at the top of my Game of the Year list. If you like metroidvanias at all you should definitely pick it up — the price is pretty low too, only $15-20 depending on platform.
