This week's World of Warcraft maintenance should be another short one, because no one wants to put in too many hours of work on a holiday week (not even the poor admins in charge of rebooting the realms just before New Year's).

It's a valid question for our group of little old lady detectives, who have learned more than they expected about the strange history of their little town on a casual visit to the Brindlewood Bay Whaling Museum...

It's been a quiet one here at Blizzard Watch HQ, and so I have scant news to report for the week.

I wasn’t trying to get a level 80 Warrior, it just kind of happened. I thought I would get in my Timewalking dungeons on a level 71 Warrior, and before I knew it I was level 80. I’m now the kind of person with a single max level Warrior, a completely normal thing to be. Right? Right. No one here would think that would be weird at all.

A peaceful visit to the annual Brindlewood Bay Whaling Museum fundraiser has taken a turn for the worse when one of the volunteers turns up dead.

The holiday season will always be light on news as Blizzard shuts down for the winter holidays, but plenty has been going on leading up to our wintery downtime — and there's certainly lots to do if you like holiday events.

It’s the holiday season, which means it’s cold and dark and I would rather hibernate until spring. But it also means holiday lights, festive packages, the Steam Winter Sale (soon) and more festivity. We can’t have one without the other.

But for now, while the sun is up, let’s do the Queue.

It's Tuesday, and I'm afraid I have bad news, because all WoW servers are down for four hours of maintenance today.
