Blizzard Watch

We're gearing up for some big news days, I just know it.

I've got to admit, I'm a little more excited for this week's Bethesda news than anything in Blizzard games...

Last week was a quiet one in Blizzard games, save for the disheartening news of layoffs on the Xbox team, even though they're said not to be hitting Blizzard (so far).

I'm having a tough time working up the enthusiasm to tackle a new Diablo 4 season when I was just getting my character where I wanted it in the last Diablo 4 season.

Everything has been coming up Warcraft recently, as WoW patch 12.0.7's launch led directly to WoW patch 12.1's announcement, but this week is about Diablo.

I hope you're ready for patch news, because just a few days after launching WoW patch 12.0.7, Blizzard announced WoW patch 12.1, which is already live on the PTR.

Last week may have been the calm before (and after) the storm, without much in the way of news: but this week, there's activity everywhere.

We've very nearly survived another summer gaming showcase season — there's one more showcase today, and then we're in the clear for another year.

Summer Game Fest is coming on Friday, and we're pretty excited — not so much for the big corporate showcase, but for all of the fantastic smaller showcases that are going on all week.

We're between content releases for most Blizzard games right now, so it's a quiet week...
