What To Play This Weekend

We've got a major Final Fantasy title releasing onto PC this week, a new metroidvania, a surprise remake of a popular action title, and a beautiful 2D souls-like to talk about this week! The lull in new releases has come to an end, and we're back to glorious gaming bliss.

This week we actually have new content! New metroidvanias, new roguelikes, remastered classic RPGs and pursuing Lu Bu are all things we talk about this week!

We're in the second week of 2025 and unfortunately we're still in the doldrums of new gaming releases, but fear not!

This week, we're going to cover games that caught the attention of a few of my fellow Blizzard Watch writers and two games that I bought during the Steam Sale as well, just in case you're looking for something to play that maybe you didn't get during Christmas.

We're into that final weekend before Christmas, which means that new releases in gaming have more or less dried up.

It's the first weekend of December, and we're quickly approaching Christmas -- so you know what that means: let's talk about video games!

This weekend it's Thanksgiving here in the United States, and thus we are stuffed with turkey and mashed potatoes plus all of the accoutrements -- yes, all of them.
