Breakfast Topic: I need three months

On twitter the other day I realized when asked about the next expansion that I don’t want to even think about the next expansion for at least three months from the last patch of the current expansion. In that case, that means I won’t start speculating in earnest until September. I’m not even close to done with patch 6.2, I don’t need to start worrying about the next patch or next expansion or what have you. Now, does this just mean I’m behind, or are other people getting ahead of themselves? I don’t know. I know it feels like people are already panicking about the prospect of a content drought that hasn’t happened yet.

Would a 12 month or longer lull from Patch 6.2 to the next expansion be bad? Yes, most likely. But we haven’t even had patch 6.2 for a month yet. Getting overly ready to panic about a lack of content now seems absurd to me. We don’t need an expansion reveal this soon. Let patch 6.2 breathe, I say. If we’re still in Hellfire Citadel next January, then you can panic.
