What to play this weekend: Hi-Fi RUSH, Horizon Forbidden West, and the Epic Games Store Spring Sale

Happy Friday, Watchers! The weather may be trying to make up its mind, but we can still have fun ourselves. And though the list of releases this week was small, it’s mighty because there are some absolute bangers releasing on new platforms.

Hi-Fi RUSH (rhythm)

Hi-Fi RUSH is a hugely popular rhythm hack-and-slash game coming this week to PlayStation. Described as “An Unrepentant Riot” by EuroGamer, the trailer almost watches like a superhero action cartoon — brightly colored and high energy. As Chai the wannabe rockstar, you and your team are up against an evil robotics megacorp, who you beat with the power of your music (which impacts the world around you). The title features amazing original music in addition to tracks by Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, The Joy Formidable, and more. Whether you missed this title’s release on PC in 2023 or are a dedicated PS5 gamer, Hi-Fi RUSH is ready for you to tackle normal gameplay, or its Power Up! Tower Up! and BPM RUSH modes in its new update, The Arcade Challenge! Update!

Get Hi-fi Rush for $29.99 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (also available on Game Pass!), and PC on Steam or Epic Games Store.

Horizon Forbidden West (action)

Aloy finally returns to the PC with Horizon Forbidden West. Both HFW and its predecessor Horizon Zero Dawn are stunning open world masterpieces with both fantastic gameplay and stories. Join Aloy as she investigates the land dying around her, exploring distant lands and fighting new, more dangerous monsters and and reconnecting with old friends while discovering new ones. If you haven’t played its predecessor, you’re truly in for a treat with the beautiful visuals, unique monsters, and a gripping, intense story.

We at Blizzard Watch are huge fans of the Horizon games, check out some of our content:

While you won’t find brand new releases in the sale, select PC games are on sale from 20% to 75% off. The selection is a little smaller than Steam’s sale, but there are some solid highlights from the sale:
