Breakfast Topic: I miss reforging

I don’t want to miss reforging. The problem is, for me, some stats are still just garbage – crit and mastery are still our absolute best stats, haste is still bad (bordering on very bad depending on talent choices) and both versatility and multistrike are, at best, meh. Yes, it’s true, with the changes to gear and enchanting and gemming I can put on a new piece of gear almost immediately without running off to tinker with it. But the problem is, often, I don’t want to, even if it’s an ilevel upgrade, because it’s a haste/multistrike piece and why even bother? I’ve actually gained DPS going from 670 to 645 gear in some cases because of the stats.

I know not all things can be, well, all things to all classes. I know some pieces will be better for DK’s and Paladins than Warriors, for example. But seriously, I shouldn’t groan when a 15 ilevel upgrade drops because I can’t use it. Reforging would at least let me swap some of that hideous, awful, loathsome haste away to crit or mastery, make a piece tenable again.

So how about you? Are you glad the wicked witch of reforging is dead? I know a lot of players are. Or are you like me, desperately chasing stats and frowning when your tier shoulders drop because they don’t have those stats you need?
