Diablo 3 Season 2 end and Season 3 start announced
After keeping players guessing about the end of Season 1, Diablo devs had promised to give at least two weeks warning before Season 2 ends. And, good to their word, they not only announced when Season 2 will conclude, but also threw in the Season 3 start date. On a blog post today, Blizzard listed the following end and start times:
Season 2 will be ending at the following dates and times for each region:
- North America: Sunday, April 5 @ 9:00 p.m. PDT
- Europe: Sunday, April 5 @ 9:00 p.m. CEST
- Asia: Sunday, April 5 @ 9:00 p.m. KST
Season 3 will be starting shortly after at the following dates and times for each region:
- North America: Friday, April 10 @ 6:00 p.m. PDT
- Europe: Friday, April 10 @ 6:00 p.m. CEST
- Asia: Friday, April 10 @ 6:00 p.m. KST
When Season 2 ends, all players with a Seasonal hero at max level (70) will be granted access to special transmog items for boots and pants as well as new banner cosmetic options based on how many Achievements you racked up. Your Seasonal hero will roll over into your main account along with all their equipped gear and gold. Blood shards and paragon levels will be added to your main account and non-duplicated inventory items, shared stash, Achievements and Artisan recipes will be carried over as well. Conquests will not roll over as there is no equivalent for your non-Seasonal heroes.
You will then have 5 days to manage all your roll over items and then the new Season kicks off! Need more information? Check out the Blizzard post with details and for you tl;dr types, watch the video below. You can also check out the Seasonal leaderboards right on the Diablo site.
Are you participating in Season 2? Will you meet you goals before the end in a few weeks? I know I have about 30 more levels to grind out on my Wizard…
