Heroes of the Storm launch tomorrow, launch events today

Sure, Heroes of the Storm is already in open beta, so anyone who wants to play can play, but the official launch date is June 2 and the celebrations start today. Blizzard is throwing a big launch party in London, which will kick off at 12:30 PM PST / 3:30 PM EST. If you can’t be there, though, don’t fret, because all the excitement will be livestreamed — so tune in this afternoon if you want to catch it. We’re promised brand new Heroes content plus plenty of entertainment!

Of course, that’s not all that’s happening. Players jumping in this week will be treated to a sweet 25% XP boost starting at 12:01 AM PST on June 2 and running through June 9. If you’ve never played before, that will help get your newbie heroes off the ground. Once you’ve gotten a chance to find your footing, there’s a Brawl with the Blues event on June 3 at 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST, and you’ll be able to watch live and ask questions on Twitch. There are also a couple of contests to jump into: for gamers of all skill levels, there’s a Twitter contest, while the artistically oriented will want to enter the fan art contest.
