Pet hunters, it’s time to collect your Qiraji Guardling

There are two battle pets in World of Warcraft that spawn only seasonally — the Snowy Owl, which only spawns during the winter, and the Qiraji Guardling, which only spawns during the summer. And since the summer solstice arrived on June 21st, it’s time to head out to Silithus and capture a Qiraji Guardling of your own. It will be available through September 20th, so you have time — and sometimes there are crowds when it first starts spawning, so patience can be a virtue.

If you’ve decided to go pet hunting (the Qiraji Guardling is required for the Kalimdor Safari achievement, which is needed for the World Safari achievement and the coveted “Zookeeper” title), then you’ll want to head to the southern side of Silithus in Kalimdor, just outside Ahn’Qiraj. Search outside the Scarab Wall and you should be able to find some — but if there are crowds, be prepared to be patient and wait it out. After all, if this is your last step towards World Safari, it’s worth a little patience, right?
