Breakfast Topic: Do you still do garrison invasions?
It recently occurred to me that I had more or less forgotten that garrison invasions were a feature of Warlords of Draenor. I remember shortly after the expansion launched, I would try to do at least one per week to try to get a small gear boost or some garrison resources. Often times, I ended up helping someone else because I had no idea how to trigger an invasion on my own — but I still made sure to do one all the same! Nowadays, though, invasions don’t even cross my mind.
It’s not that I don’t want anything from the invasions. In fact, I would absolutely love to acquire all four of the mounts contained in the gold or platinum bags players receive if they do well enough. The problem for me is that even when the gear rewards were enough to keep me interested, Apexis Crystals were not enticing enough for me to actively pursue them. And since the invasions were triggered by killing enemies within the Apexis daily locations, as soon as other players stopped looking for help with their own invasions, I was out of luck. Now that I actually have a reason to farm Apexis Crystals — you will be mine, Corrupted Dreadwing, oh yes, you will be mine — the most efficient place to farm them (Tanaan) doesn’t trigger the invasions and I’m back to December once again, except with seemingly fewer players looking for assistance.
Am I alone in this, though? Are you all more dedicated to the grind or have you also ceased to defend your garrison from the Godot-like forces of Draenor?
