Breakfast Topic: What do you want in Legion’s Dalaran?
From the second Blizzard announced that Dalaran would be making a return in Legion, I’ve been wondering just exactly what kind of Dalaran we’ll be seeing. It’s hard to imagine a complete redesign of the city, but I’d still like to see enough changes that walking around the city for the first (or even second or third!) time yields plenty of surprises.
A change I would like to see is some more familiar faces around the city. One of the features that made the Wrath Dalaran so cool was that it was full of characters who seemed to have lives of their own. I want more of that, but I also don’t want to feel like all those garrison followers I’ve seen walking around throughout Warlords have just been left behind. Even if it’s just something like Talonpriest Ishaal walking around in Shadowform and some new armor, I want the city to feel as alive as it did in Wrath. Granted, I don’t want to exclusively see garrison followers — I want a mix of old and new to show that the city and its inhabitants have all evolved along with the game itself.
But that’s just one change that could be made to Dalaran. It’s a magical city, after all, so who’s to say it couldn’t look entirely different? New locations, a different layout, and plenty of other updates are hopefully at least up for consideration. Is there anything specific you’d like to see, though, or are you just nostalgic for a Legion Dalaran that is the same home you knew back in Wrath?
