Breakfast Topic: Back from a WoW vacation

I’ve returned from a vacation in sunny Florida to find that I have, once again, been falling behind on my World of Warcraft goals. (After all, when you’re traveling without a laptop it’s tough to collect those Valor Points.) But falling behind on the endless grind towards gear upgrades is never fun, especially as I’ve been working on gearing up for #FriendshipMoose — so what’s a player to do?

Without a hard cap on Valor gains, I could conceivably spend (almost) as much time as I’d like grinding out Valor in LFRs and LFGs. (Which would, conveniently, also help me pick up drops for the seemingly never-ending legendary quest.) However, I’m not particularly enthused by the prospect of running every possible raid to rack up the Valor Points… so I’ll probably just remain behind my optimistic gearing up timeline.

But that’s just me — I’ve got limited playtime and (like everyone) limited interest in putting up with LFRs, so I probably just won’t. So let’s talk about how you play catch up in-game after you’ve taken a break, whether a short one or a long one. Do you rush through the grind to reach your goals or do you take it easy and aim to avoid burning yourself out?
