Legion: Dalaran Pet Tournament

In between the two Dalarans promised by Celestalon is a small floating island. It’s present in game already, located behind the Antonidas memorial, but it’s completely bare. In the most recent alpha build of Legion, it’s covered in plenty of new doodads. Featuring bleachers, a ring and lots of tiny cages, it appears to be the site of a Dalaran Pet Tournament.

There’s no real content relating to this new Tournament other than two employee NPCs. The unnamed one dressed a bit like a ringmaster appears to be running the show, as he orders the murloc-cosplaying Greg to ‘put some boogie’ into his dancing. They have to draw people to this new tournament somehow! Off to one side, there’s also a Deathy pet facing down three training dummies, which will hopefully be used to test out some pet team comps.

Beyond the obvious observation that this event will likely feature pets and also perhaps battling, it’s impossible to guess the nature of this Tournament. Other than dancing their hearts out, the ringmaster and Greg offer no other interaction this build. The Tournament could range from a PVP-centric brawl to a multi-tiered PVE event. Because this is alpha, it may wind up being scrapped altogether, so it’s best not to get our hopes too high for anything specific.
