Breakfast Topic: The Lunar Festival is upon us!

As we dive into February, it’s time for another Lunar Festival in World of Warcraft — and perhaps soon in Heroes of the Storm, too. While there’s nothing new in WoW‘s version of the holiday this year, there are still reasons to participate beyond collecting holiday pets, toys, fireworks, and other goodies. There’s faction reputation to be earned by collecting Coins of Ancestry — though in recent years it won’t push you past honored — and you can collect coins to buy any heirloom upgrades you haven’t gotten yet.

If you’re looking to dive into this year’s festival, Wowhead has a solid guide to the Lunar Festival‘s available quests and the goodies you get for completing them. But the real question is are you going to bother?

The festival hasn’t changed in several years, and it’s hard to get excited about content you’ve done before for rewards you already have. So are you gearing up to grind for Coins of Ancestry again? Or have you already collected all of the rewards? Are you planning on participating, or are you just done with the event?
