Breakfast Topic: The past isn’t dead

To paraphrase, it’s not even past.

People like to call Warlords the ‘time travel expansion’ but lately I’ve been wondering — would you actually play a legitimate time travel expansion?

It’s not hard to imagine, we’ve all been to the Caverns of Time. But imagine an expansion which had ‘zones’ that were different eras in time, instead of just new places on a continent. You level by going from the War of the Ancients to the Troll Wars, from the founding of Quel’thalas to ancient Zin-Ashari, hopping from time to time in an attempt to preserve (or maybe even change) history.

I don’t expect this to ever happen. Warlords seems to be a strong statement that people don’t really like time travel in their fantasy games, or at least the idea of it. But I do wonder. If you had an expansion where every zone, every dungeon and raid, it was all in a different part of time, would you be interested? Would you play it?
