The Queue: Cute but deadly
That’s right. I’m leveling a Gnome Rogue and everyone had best watch out, because if the daggers don’t get you the straight-up adorableness will.
Q4TQ: With enough positive thinking, could we, as a group, make the world servers come back up?
#Iwanttobelieve
Mitch: Remember when Goku used the Spirit Bomb against Buu, but he could only do so after channeling the energy from everyone on Earth? And in the end, he succeeds because everyone worked together to overcome the evil threat? That was fake and the servers don’t work like that. Happy Thursday.
Liz: It’s more about waiting for these, ah, charming DDoSers to get bored. Or for their parents to come in and tell them it’s past their bedtime. Writing this just after 2AM central and the servers are back online.
Q4TQ: Now that Warcraft Audio Dramas are a thing, are there any events from the past (either in-game or just Chronicled) that you’d like to see made into an Audio Drama?
Mitch: I want to hear an audio drama of the Black Empire and its history. How cool would that be, to hear the story of Azeroth from back when Old Gods ruled? Praise be to the Old Ones! ^_^
Liz: This is a tough one. I am not a fan of a lot of the Warcraft novels, but I did enjoy The Last Guardian. Medivh, Karazhan, that dumb Khadgar guy…
Mitch: Liz, stop hating on Khadgar.
Liz: Honestly, Last Guardian just makes me wonder how Khadgar ever survived long enough to be in the game at all.
Mitch: He’s a powerful Mage, that’s how. Also, dem eyebrows.
Liz: In Last Guardian he is a dumb apprentice. Well, okay, a smart apprentice.
Mitch: Look, as my leveling stream Mage understands far too well, sometimes eccentricities and a unique approach to life often get mistaken for “dumb.”
Liz: Uh huh. Khadgar in Last Guardian at least entertains me.
Transmog question:
I haven’t really cared much about transmogging till now and I’m drowning in armor tokens. Does anyone know if there is an addon that handles dungeon armor sets well (tells me if I already have the appearance available for that token + where to redeem it)?
Mitch: I have been using TransmogTokens. I’m not sure if there’s a more detailed one out there, but this pretty much does exactly what you said here (says if you need the appearance + which city to redeem in).
Liz: I am downloading this right now.
Q4tQ: Will there be a break between Heroes’ Season 1 and 2, or does the next season start up right away?
Mitch: The official Season 1 page lumps Season 2 start and Season 1 end into the same “event” category, but shoves an asterisk there that says more details will be announced closer to Season 2. TL;DR: We don’t know 100% how it’ll work, but we will soon.
Liz: NEXT!
2 Bosses Enter, 1 Boss Leaves
Arthas and the Scourge vs Ulduar (and the Titan stuff there)
Mitch: Arthas would win up to a point. After all, if Yogg can imprison the Keepers and basically take hold of the place and Arthas can wear Saronite armor without succumbing to Yogg’s mind stuff, then Arthas would roll through that place no problem. But then he’d run into Algalon. Who would probably go, “Oh my god, this is even worse than when I thought it was worse than I thought” and self-destruct Azeroth without a second thought.
Liz: I really think Arthas has good odds here. The Scourge’s whole game is to overwhelm with numbers. An army of the dead that overwhelms any fortification. You’ve just gotta murder Algalon before he realizes the problem.
Mitch: Yeah, Algalon is the wildcard here. I mean, he was willing to fight us. So maybe he’d fight Arthas without realizing what he was actually fighting. Actually, that would be hilarious. If he fought Arthas and came to the same conclusion he does when he fights us. I can see it now, Arthas yelling, “SKELETONS OF ICECROWN, RAISE YOUR EYE SOCKETS TO THE SKIES!”
Mitch: PS LIZ DIDN’T INCLUDE THE QUESTION RELEVANT TO THIS, BUT GO LISTEN ANYWAY.
Liz: Mitch no.
Mitch: Liz yes.
Liz: We are not talking about that question.
Mitch: I doubt people would figure out what question I meant. And if they did, oh well. I just want that video in there. It’s a good song.
Liz: Sigh.
