Blizzard and assorted network providers are under a DDoS attack
Another day, another major DDoS attack against Blizzard and the network providers that handle traffic to their games. Many users are unable to logon to Warcraft, Overwatch, Hearthstone, etc…
@BlizzardCS tweeted the following this evening:
We are currently monitoring a DDOS attack against network providers which is affecting latency/connections to our games.

Given the exceptionally high profile of Legion’s launch and the continued success of Blizzard’s games, these DDoS attacks are simply a thing that players are going to have to deal with until the groups are either caught or more severe network restrictions are put in place. Blizzard Watch has also suffered through a couple of these fun-killers lately; although we’re a drop in the bucket compared to what Blizzard has to deal with.
Update 7:30pm CDT: The DDoS attack appears to be over.
