Will you be following HGC?

I didn’t think I was an esports guy. I just didn’t care. It didn’t seem interesting or exciting in any way. During the heyday of WoW arenas, watching esports tournaments was the most boring thing on the planet. Then Heroes of the Storm came along and I found myself wandering over to Twitch at strange hours of the day just to watch overseas tournaments which ran in the middle of the night or early morning here in the US. Heck, at the tail end of BlizzCon this year, the Blizzard Watch crew gathered around a TV to watch the Heroes of the Storm championships instead of attending the Weird Al concert.

This Friday, HGC kicks off — HGC being the Heroes of the Storm Global Championships. I never thought I’d be that guy following this stuff, but I totally am. I’ll be tuning in whenever I can. Will you? Do you have any interest? If you’ve never watched Heroes esports before, are you willing to give it a try?
