What bosses should be in WoW’s 15th Anniversary raid?

For WoW’s 10th Anniversary, we got a special level-cap version of Molten Core, the revamped Tarren Mill vs. Southshore battleground, the Molten Corgi pet just for showing up, and a chance to farm for other mounts and pets as well as a helmet off of Ragnaros, and I certainly wouldn’t be upset if that made a return. But frankly, I want more. And it looks like we’ll be getting more — the upcoming anniversary event talks about a series of challenges from throughout WoW‘s history, with a 25-player raid accessible via LFR that will pit players against some of the most iconic threats in the game’s long lifespan.

And that has me wondering. Who, exactly, will it be? Who will be the bosses we’ll fight in this expansion? Which ones would you, the readers at home, want to see?

For myself, I’d very much like to see Kael’thas, Illidan, Ragnaros, Lady Vashj, Kel’Thuzad, Malygos, Yogg-Saron, C’thun, Nefarian, Arthas, Garrosh, Gruul, Onyxia, and Gul’dan make appearances. But it’s hard to keep it to that roster when there  have been so many — Kil’Jaeden’s Sunwell appearance, Archimonde in Hellfire Citadel, Magtheridon, Azuregos, Kazzak… there are just so many I’m somewhat spoiled for choice. But it isn’t all about me, after all. What about you? What iconic threat from the history of World of Warcraft would you like to see in the anniversary event? What do you most want to take on again to celebrate WoW and its 15th year?

Part of me thinks it should just be dragons. Like, every dragon boss we’ve ever fought — Onyxia, Nefarian, the Dragons of Nightmare, Sapphiron, Vaelastraz, Halion, and all the others who’ve ever been WoW bosses or world bosses, toss them all in a raid. An all-dragon highlight reel definitely feels like a good way to celebrate 15 years of World of Warcraft.
