Have an eggscellent time with the now fully operational Everybunny Get in Here! Hearthstone Tavern Brawl
The Brightly Covered Eggs are all opened and the Egg Baskets are already back in storage, but the spirit of Noblegarden lives on this week with the Hearthstone Everybunny Get in Here! Tavern Brawl. You thought you missed it, but you didn’t! There’s still time to dye those eggs — and win a brand new Standard card pack.
Tavern Brawl basics
- Name: Everybunny Get in Here!
- Description: Happy Noblegarden! Celebrate the season by dyeing eggs, one will spawn each turn! You’ll get 10 random class cards and a bunch of dyes to help you hatch something cute.
- Fun level: 5/10
- Difficulty: 7/10
- Replayability: 8/10
- Format: Standard
- Type: PvP
- Deck: Provided
- Rewards: 1 Standard pack (this pack can contain cards from any set in the Standard rotation)
All you need to do to start this Brawl is select your class. The deck is provided. It’s made up of 10 class cards (spells or minions), and 20 custom cards for the Brawl:
- Noblegarden Goblin: 5/2 minion
- Hawkstrider Hen: 3/6 Beast, Battlecry and Deathrattle: summon a Noblegarden Egg
- Carrots: give all minions +1/+1 or +2/+2 if its a Bunny
- Noblegarden Spoon: Hatch your Eggs
- Shifting Dye: Each turn this is in your hand, transform to a random dye that can buff your eggs
The goal of the game is as expected: to reduce the other hero’s hit points to zero using your spells, minions, and Noblegarden Eggs. Each turn, a Noblegarden Egg lands on your board. It’s a stealthed 0/2 minion, and your Shifting Dye will can buff it in a variety of ways, depending on the dye’s color. A single egg can have multiple dye buffs, assuming you have enough dyes in hand.
- Green – Poisonous
- Blue – Windfury
- Orange – Rush
- Silver – Stealth
- Pink – Taunt
- Gold – Divine Shield
- Purple – Lifesteal
- Red – Gains +2/+2
At the start of your next turn, the Noblegarden Egg will hatch — whether you’ve dyed it or not — into a random minion with the buff corresponding to the dye. If you don’t buff it, it will hatch into a Bunny (1/3 Beast). Bunny minions get eggstra stats from the Carrots card, and they’re a good target for any other buffs your class might have.
How to win Everybunny Get in Here! Tavern Brawl
Picking the right class is a key factor in victory. Druid makes an excellent choice for this Brawl: it’s no no eggsaggeration that they have several spells that benefit from wide boards. You should also consider Warlock, as many games get into a topdeck war where you have no cards in hand and can only play what you you draw — and Warlocks get extra card draw. If you prefer a more aggressive posture, Hunter and Demon Hunter are good options. Hunter and Druid also have cards that synergize well with the Beasts that often spawn from the eggs. Update 2022: Demon Hunter appears to be much more popular this year than in years past.
Most of the dye buffs are pretty good with the possible eggceptions of Taunt or Windfury. I prefer Divine Shield, Poisonous, and Rush. You should always buff your eggs when you have dyes, unless you have the Carrot card in hand. Your eggs only stay stealthed for one turn and then hatch, and the dyes only work on eggs, so there’s no reason to wait. Don’t plan ahead with your dyes, because they’ll change color each round. Play them whenever you have them!
Because you have no idea what’s in your deck, this is another Brawl where you should play with an Arena mindset. Make trades that leave your minions alive and give you options on future turns. Ideally, you’ll control the board and have plenty of options to hit your opponent in the face.
With only 10 class cards, AOE is scarce, so you can safely build a wide board — and you’re going to build a wide board because a new egg goes down every turn whether you want it or not. Again, this gives Druids an edge due to the number of class cards that buff the entire board. If you opponent does get a lucky AOE, there’s little chance of a comeback. If you wind up with an AOE in hand, be careful not to AOE both sides of the board if you are ahead as one unfortunate Demon Hunter did against me.
Give the mulligan a good eggsamination and consider throwing away anything that isn’t a class card. Knowing what class cards you have will help you hatch a plan.
Good RNG fun
This Brawl strikes an good balance between RNG and strategy. The RNG element is there with dyes and the minions your eggs hatch into, but it doesn’t feel as overpowering as RNG does in some other Brawls.
You don’t have to have eggceptional skills. Try to have fun with it, and don’t be afraid to conceded if it looks like your beaten. Keep your concentration up and don’t get eggshausted. There’s no rating or stars to lose, so just queue up again. The Standard pack is a nice reward, and has a good chance to give you with some cards you didn’t have to shell out for.
