Admire Australian animals’ awesome acrobatics and adorable-ness
Australia is home to many critters with big eyes and/or big ears. That mostly happened to ensure their survival in the continent’s arid and desert climates, but it’s also an unbeatable cuteness combo. So this week we return to the land down under to spend some time cooing over sugar gliders and bilbies.
Special thanks to our Blizzard Watch patron Felinae for the suggestion!
Snacktime
You’ve heard of “eyes bigger than your stomach,” but what’s the phrase for when your snack is bigger than your entire body?
Sugar, oh honey honey
You are my candy glider.
Wheee!
And everyone sticks the landing, perfect scores all around!
In the natural habitat
Yes it’s old, but footage of a bilby outside a zoo was pretty exciting to find.
So stinkin’ tiny!
Seriously, how do creatures even come that small?
Night mode engaged
It’s confirmed: bilby cuteness is not diminished by noctural video capture.
